Financial Stability and Cyber Security Division

The Financial Stability and Cyber Security Division comprises the following three work streams:

1. Financial Stability & Development Council & FSB
   
   1. Aid and support in dealing with issues included in the mandate of the Financial Stability & Development Council, namely:
      
      1. Financial Stability
      2. Financial Sector Development
      3. Inter-regulatory Coordination
      4. Financial Literacy
      5. Financial Inclusion
      6. Macro prudential supervision of the economy including the functioning of large financial conglomerates
      7. International interface with financial sector bodies
      8. Any other matter relating to the financial sector stability and development referred by a Member/Chairperson and considered prudent by the Council / Chairperson.
   2. Organising FSDC meetings, including preparation of agenda, presentation of macro-financial developments having impact on financial stability, preparation of the Record of Discussions and follow-up of Action Points arising out of the FSDC meetings
   3. Suggesting agenda, preparing briefs and talking points, follow-up of Actions Points pertaining to DEA arising out of FSDC Sub-Committee meetings
   4. Work relating to Working Groups / Technical Groups under FSDC Sub- Committee.
   5. Furnishing inputs of DEA for Financial Stability Report
   6. Handling the Financial Stability Board (FSB) related work, the international body set up by the G20 to work on vulnerabilities assessments, policy development & coordination, implementation monitoring and to act as compendium of international standards and work with various financial sector regulators and other relevant agencies to assist in FSB related matters including:
      
      1. Plenary meeting of FSB
      2. Meeting of Standing Committee of Standards Implementation (SCSI) of FSB
      3. Regional Consultative Groups (RCG) meetings of FSB
      4. Implementation Monitoring Network Survey
      5. Thematic Peer Reviews
      6. FSB Peer Review & Follow-on implementations
2. Cyber Security & CSIRT-FIN.
   
   1. Strengthening Cyber Security Framework and related issues
   2. Setting up of CSIRT-Fin and its administrative matters
   3. Serving the technical group/Committee of CSIRT-Fin
   4. Any other related work related to CSIRT-Fin
3. Financial Sector Assessment Programme & RBI Board
   
   1. Financial Sector Assessment Program (FSAP) & related matters
   2. Follow up on FSAP Recommendations
   3. Examination of draft report with inputs from regulators and finalisation.
   4. RBI Board meetings.
