India-UK Financial Market Dialogue (FMD)
Financial Markets Division in Department of Economic Affairs organizes India-UK Financial Market Dialogue (FMD) in collaboration with HM Treasury of UK. Apart with the G2G FMD, a private sector dialogue between the two countries i.e. Indis-UK Financial Partnership (IUKFP) is also organized under the ambit of India UK FMD. The last iteration of the Dialogue i.e. 3 rd India –UK FMD was hosted by Department of Economic Affairs, Ministry of Finance in GIFT City, Gujarat on 12 December 2024 in hybrid mode. The Dialogue was chaired by Ms. Surbhi Jain, Joint Secretary (Financial Markets Division), Department of Economic Affairs from India side and Mr. Richard Knox, Director (International), Financial Services Group from UK HM Treasury. Participants from both India and UK touched upon reforms in respective financial services sectors including capital markets, insurance & reinsurance, pensions, FinTech, sustainable finance and International Financial Services Centre.Opportunities for interregulatory cooperation and private sector collaboration to increase bilateral trade and investment in financial services was also discussed.

India-US Financial Regulatory Dialogue
India-US Financial Regulatory Dialogue is also stewarded by the Financial Markets Division of Department of Economic Affairs from India side with participation from concerned financial regulators. The Dialogue is organised in collaboration with U.S. Treasury Department and concerned regulators on U.S. side. The last round of the Dialogue i.e. 11th India-US Financial Regulatory Dialogue (FRD) was held on March 7, 2023 in hybrid Mode in Gift City, Gujarat. The dialogue was chaired by Ms. Surbhi Jain, Joint Secretary, Financial Markets Division, Department of Economic Affairs from the Indian side. Mr Brent Neiman, Counselor to the Secretary, US Treasury rendered the Welcome address from Washington. The Dialogue touched upon importance of knowledge sharing between the two countries and ways for forging cooperation in evolving fields of financial regulation. Both sides shared regulatory updates and possibilities of enhancing cooperation in the fields of banking, capital markets, insurance, pensions, and international financial services centre, sustainable finance and digital payments. The next iteration of the Dialogue i.e. 12th India-US FRD is likely to be held in year 2025.
